Anna treated me for a number of injuries (playing International rugby takes a toll on the body!) and helped me get back on the pitch fully recovered and back to full fitness. After I tore my MCL ahead of the Six Nations in 2012 Anna treated the torn ligament and also put together a comprehensive gym programme that helped return stability and strength to the knee. Her intensive treatment got me back on the pitch ahead of schedule. I couldn't have played as many matches as I did without her treatment - as an athlete herself she understood my needs and what was required to get me back operating at the level required.
Oxford Sports Physio & Pilates has changed my life. I’m not perhaps the best advert for organised exercise but I have found just the right amount of real challenge and felt benefit from rising to it, not to mention fun, and the teachers are superb – first Jenny and now Frankie.
I have been really impressed by the physio services at Oxford Sports Physio. The physios are knowledgeable, experienced and approachable. The advice I've received has always been practical - including rehab exercises that I can realistically fit into my daily life! Highly recommended.
I started doing Pilates after struggling with recurring sciatica. Since starting regular classes I've not had any more bouts requiring time off work. The classes are taught by caring and experiences teachers, and it's become a fantastic part of my weekly routine.
Anna suggested I try pilates after some physio sessions for a hamstring injury - one of the best recommendations I've ever had, thank you Anna! I've been amazed at the improvement in my overall strength and stability. The classes are fun and friendly, and the teachers are brilliant, pushing us just the right amount, and always giving options for us to work to our own level, accommodating injuries where necessary. I've become quite evangelical about pilates - everyone should do it!
I started Pilates because I both wanted to improve core fitness and because of mental health. I have now been doing it for about eighteen months and can confirm: a) I am no longer ‘Bambi’ whilst doing exercise – I have some core strength – yay. b) I find Pilates incredibly helpful for my mental health – whilst I’ve struggled with ‘mindfulness’ exercises or meditation in the past, I have found that concentrating on moves in Pilates has had the positive effect of giving me an hour to myself, unhindered by stressful thoughts because I’ve been absorbed in Pilates. The teaching has been supportive, thorough and fun – I could not want more.
Thank you all very much.
