Sports injuries


Our clinic adjoins a gym which we can use to analyse your running, rowing, cycling or other sports activity, and set up a strength and conditioning programme for your rehab / injury prevention. We focus on finding the root cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms, and therefore analysis of the sport or activity which is causing the problem is essential. We use video analysis to look at your running technique on the treadmill. Cyclists can arrange to bring their bike and turbo trainer for movement analysis. 






Treatment may include joint mobilisations / manipulation, myofascial release, sports massage, acupuncture, kinesio-taping, as well as advice, education and a rehab programme. We encourage self-treatment through stretching, exercise, use of foam rollers etc to minimise the need for prolonged or multiple appointments. We have close links with a Sports Medicine Physician and we are able to refer on for specialist opinion and / or MRI if further investigation or imaging is required.




Not a Sports Injury?
We do not just deal with sports people. A lot of our work is helping people with postural or work related problems, back or neck pain, muscle, joint and tendon problems, or rehabilitation following surgery.  We can help with pain resulting from a range of causes, from arthritis to hypermobility. We will communicate with your GP and suggest referral for specialist opinion or imaging if we feel that further investigation is required.
